The ship is carrying 161 chest of gold and silver. Quincy retires as a merchant in Boston, leaving the business to his brother Edmund, and builds a mansion in Braintree. His son serves as a defense lawyer in the Boston Massacre trial and his grandson as mayor of Boston.
